Robotics, and another Hackathon! October 2024 Edition
Welcome to Escape Velocity; If this is your first time here, I’m Ayaan, nice to meet you. I’m a 14-year-old space tech enthusiast (and soon-to-be engineer). I love music, play music, and play tons of volleyball. I’m also a TKS Activate Student. Enjoy your stay here, and get ready to throttle up to Escape Velocity🚀

Wrote an article about thermal control systems in space!
For the next few months, I’m going to be diving into the use of robotics in space! To kick this off, I wrote an article about how heat is managed in space. I explain different methods of heat control, like heat pipes, phase change materials, and more!
TKS Activate Hackathon!
I’m doing my second year of The Knowledge Society (TKS). Last year was called “Innovate” because the goal was to expose the students to new fields and allow them to learn and build their first projects. This year is called “activate” because it’s focused on taking action and getting real outcomes!
The first hackathon of the year happened earlier this month, with the goal being to come up with a way to use the emerging technology we’ve been working with at TKS to solve a real world issue. Me and my group came up with a modification of space based solar power generation that could hypothetically be more efficient!
Next Up: November
November is going to be super busy! Expect some progress on my projects with robotics, more YouTube videos, and videos of my upcoming school concert!
Thanks for reading!
