Two months gone, just like that! Today we’re gonna dive into what I’ve been up to since the last newsletter. Let’s get straight into it!

Made A Video About Nuclear Propulsion!
Back in February, I wrote a review article about different types of nuclear propulsion and the most recent innovations in that field. In March I made a video summarizing the key takeaways from that article.
The Spring Challenge
Throughout March, I was part of another team competition. Essentially, we had the opportunity to recommend to Microsoft what they could do to continue scaling their business in regards to AI.
Our submission got us into the top 10, a big win for us! Here are some of the key takeaways:
Be scientific. Don’t try to prove your innovative idea will work. Try to prove it won’t work until you’re absolutely sure you can’t anymore. That’s how innovations are made
Keep going. Even when you hit roadblocks, push forward and keep working hard until you eventually find that missing piece that brings your solution together.
It’s okay to rely on others. You can’t do everything all the time. I was personally not the MVP of our team. Our project manager, Max, put in the most effort out of all of us. However, you don’t have to be the star player in every single game. What matters is that you show up when you’re needed and give it your all.
A (Literal) Moonshot Idea
For the past 4 weeks, me and a team of two other space fanatics have been working hard on something called the Moonshot. It’s another competition within TKS to develop a company idea that solves a huge problem with a radical solution.
Our team is developing a company idea that could help NASA sustain a moon base throughout the lunar day and night by implementing a near-100% efficiency energy storage technology. The project is in its final stages, and presentations will happen this Saturday. Wish us luck!
Next up: May
May will probably be a little less eventful since I have those dreadful finals coming up. After that, I’ll likely get to work on my next project, hopefully taking a step forward from my last project and making something more real.
